June 2, 2012 Milton's Boat with Carole Sheftic The medium is Watercolor. Cost $5.00. Carole recommends it to be done on 140 lb watercolor paper at least 12 x 16. She suggests buying a full sheet of Arches or Strathmore Cold Press paper (Michael's or Hobby Lobby) and dividing it rather than buying a tablet that has a lesser quality of paper.
Water Colors needed are: Ultramarine Blue (or Cobalt Blue) Burnt Siena, Burnt Umber, Orange, Alizarin Crimson. Sap Green or Hookers Green or any green you may have. Supplies: A piece of foam Core or a bd, larger than your paper Blue Tape Spray Water Bottle (fine mist) 01 Black Micron PigMa pen or a size that's close You may use your regular Acrylic brushes but they should be in good shape. Flats: (Approx) 1 inch, ½ inch and ¼ inch, Rounds # 6 , # 4 and # 2. #1 liner or your favorite one. A Bristle Fan brush or tooth brush. A stylus, Paper towels, 2 water containers. A watercolor palette with divided areas for mixing color or several white meat trays A soft 2B or softer pencil. Optional... An 11x14 mat with 8x 10 opening You will get the pattern and packet at the June workshop to be put on in class. |
